The new handheld being released into stores by Nintendo is called the 3DS. It is set to release in the United States, March 27, 2011, while it will be released about a month earlier in Japan on the date of February 26, 2011. This new innovative handheld platform is gaining much attention via the internet and mainstream media. The age of 3D gaming without the use of those fancy glasses is almost finally here. I will detail what will be included with the new game system, along with its new features and why it will be worth the hefty price tag of $250 per unit. Prepare yourself for the latest Nintendo 3DS new.
Initially when I first saw and heard of the new 3DS, I was very skeptical. At first thought, I figured it was just a gimmick and would not live up to its full potential. I now admit I was definitely wrong after reading many reviews of those who got to test a unit for several minutes. The 3DS will be released with two different options for system color. The first is aqua blue, which I strongly prefer. While the second color is cosmo black. Each handheld gaming system will initially cost $250 and will include a 2GB SD card, stylus, and its own charging cradle. If you are able to manage to preorder your Nintendo 3DS from your local store, you may receive bonus items such as a gift card or carrying case for your new system and its games. I highly suggest you to preorder your unit as soon as possible, because I assure you, supplies will be limited for its first few months of release.
The new technological device will have multiple cool and impressive features to offer. The Nintendo 3DS will equip a gyroscope, motion sensor, two cameras, SD card slot, Nintendo DS cartridge slot, enlarged 3D top display screen, bottom touch screen, analog stick, 3D depth slider, and a home button. There, I'm pretty sure I covered most of it (laugh out loud). You can easily see why the average handheld unit price will be so expensive. It cost much more revenue to produce such a high tech device, compared to the average Nintendo DS or Gameboy. One of the biggest advantages that I did not mention is the superior graphics of the 3DS. At times, they can easily rival the wii's graphics display and output much more color. I'm sure this handheld system will be everything you could want in a mobile device.
Finally, to top it all off, I will outline why I will be picking this game system up on its release date. The most impressive feature to me, believe it or not, isn't the 3D display but rather the wonderfully vivid graphics system this handheld implements. While I admit, I definitely look forward to multiple Nintendo game classics that will be released shortly after the 3DS and in full 3D of course. The games I am most anxious for are Zelda: Ocarina of Time, Mario Kart, and Super Mario 3D. Most people speculate that each game will cost around $40 each, seeing two 3DS games have already been priced that. I'm not sure how you feel about the Nintendo 3DS but make sure to comment to let me and other readers know!
